Rain lilies and century plant

There are some interesting plants around here.
After a rain, these so-called “rain lilies” pop up out of nowhere:
The “century plant” is an agave that spends years or even decades looking like a medium-size aloe, until one spring it decides to bloom and sends up a 15 to 25 foot stalk:

That is so cool! Thanks for sharing the photo. Much better than the plain stalk that I saw in March:-)
